Aston Martin Red Bull Racing Driver Max Verstappen brought Formula One fever to downtown Montreal Wednesday evening when the Dutch star attended a media event where local racing fans competed to win a year’s supply of Esso Synergy fuel.
The three-time Grand Prix winner warmed up his competitive streak early ahead of this weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix by competing alongside race fans and his team of engineers in the Esso & Mobil 1 quiz show, putting his Formula One and Montreal city knowledge to the test, and coming out on top!
Verstappen also went head-to-head with fans in the Red Bull Pit Stop Challenge Finals, where the eventual winners, who set a time of 5.13 seconds to change a tire, won a year’s supply of Esso Synergy fuel and the opportunity to participate in a live pit stop practice session with the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing team at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on Thursday.
Aston Martin Red Bull Racing Chief Engineer, Car Engineering, Paul Monaghan, and ExxonMobil Global Motorsport Technology Manager, David Tsurusaki, were also on hand to discuss the teams’ improving on-track showings this season, helped by high performance race fuel and lubricant from Technology Partner, ExxonMobil.
