On Friday April 12th, Shanghai kicked off the first Heineken F1 Festival of the year, ahead of the 1000th Formula One race weekend. The event was held at Xintiandi Park with an array of music acts and exciting entertainment, followed by the F1 Live car run. The F1 Festivals are free to the public, and the goal is to bring the Grand Prix atmosphere and excitement to city centers around the world.
“We believe it’s vital to take F1 into the cities so that fans can immerse themselves in the race day atmosphere,” said Sean Bratches, Managing Director Commercial Operations F1, about the Festivities. Chicago, LA and Brazil will host the three other Heineken F1 Festivals this year.
